I'm not doing too well with these resolutions...

I tell myself to compose my thoughts and I end up not bloging for a few months. My re-join the gym resoltion is stalling aswell...

Well this is just a quicky, a few things have caught my attention recently.

My housewarming was last weekend. All our neighbours gracioulsy went away for the weekend so we had the decks crankin till 8am or so. Fun times were had by all. I can tick the 'Have a sweet house party' off my list of things to do. I might do a bigger post on this if I can get around to it once i've harvested the pictures off people that brought cameras.

Blogs to Riches is an article I just read about the financing and profits being made by the upper echelon of the blogosphere. Damn I hate that word, blogosphere. It just sounds so lame.

Ron Artest, the most controversial baller in the NBA was traded recently. The Pacers, for better or worse, will never be the same.

somewhere between idealism and pragmatism

i've been too slack, busy or uninspired, to post much in the last few weeks. i'm not sure if this motivation is coming from actual inspiration or a desire to keep my blog from becoming a number in the high % of blogs started and then left to fall by the wayside as the fad wears off.

i've decided i need to sculpt my idealistic visions into some sort of tangible goals, i'm getting sick of this sense of unfulfilment.

well to kick things off, i'll borrow from the Colbert Report's "Tip of the hat, wag of the finger" to recap some goings on:

Tip of the hat

Mark Schwarzer - Australian Socceroos goal keeper and dead set legend after single handedly dragging his team through the penalty shootout to defeat Uruguay. His first save was great, his second save to setup the win was simply epic.

Wag of the finger

The clothes monster that has infested my house. I swear my clothing is just vanishing, first shirts now underwear, sure my room is a mess but it was always here, if somewhat difficult to find.

Sense of fashion?

As I stood at the supermarket checkout the other day, I mused that in the rack of magazines I could not see one attractive human being gracing the cover of the assortment that were showing.

What was showing was an slew of celebrities in various stages of scandal. From drugs to under eating, to over eating, to whatever, none of it was even attempting to be attractive. As a society are we addicted to celebrity scandal?

Obje Interoperability Framework

I read about this via Smart Mobs. Sounds very intriguing, however despite their suggestions that they have been using this system at the PARC offices, I cant find anything other than press release drivel.

New Pacers Uniforms

With the NBA season only abit over a month away, most teams rosters are set and now all that remains is to jazz things up abit. Thats what the Pacers have done with their new uniforms being unveiled today.

Here's a pic of JO and SJax looking 'fly', as Jax put it in their new uniforms.

I scored myself a JO uniform in the old design on the cheap, now I've got to decide which of my beloved Pacers will get to adorn the next one I procure. I'm leaning towards Ron Artest.

oooh bloggy goodness

I guess I've thought about doing this for a while, but forums have usually been the outlet for interesting stuff I had found on the web. Recently, I've been reading stuff which didn't explicitly fit into one of the interest areas of the forums that I frequent.

So I'll kick off this foray into the blogosphere and see where it takes me.
